Evidence Leads in Education (ELE)

Carmel Research School supports the overall aim of the Research School Network to break the link between family income and educational outcomes, improving outcomes and life chances for disadvantaged pupils in particular.

We will work to ensure that all are given those opportunities as we work tirelessly to embed evidence-informed practice in all schools in the region and beyond. Our Evidence Leaders in Education are key to this in building capacity within schools.

Join us!

We are seeking to increase our outstanding workforce and wish to recruit a number of Evidence Leads in Education (ELE). The ELEs will contribute to evidence-informed school improvement and will be designated by Carmel Research School.

Evidence Leads in Education

...Is this you or someone you know?

What do you need to be an ELE?

You need to be an effective teacher, a middle or senior leader, with the skills and passion to support individuals or teams in similar positions in other schools. You will need to understand what effective leadership in the use of evidence to inform school practice looks like and skilled in helping other leaders to achieve it in their own context.

Commitment: successful applicants must have a commitment to outreach work, the capacity to undertake such work, with the full support of their Headteacher or the Head of their organisation.

Cost: There is no cost to apply. Successful applicants will be entitled to some training at no cost to their school. When outreach is planned and booked the research school will cover all costs to the ELE’s home school, including supply cover.

Applications are now open for 2021/22.

Closing date - Thursday 30th September 12pm

This round is open to all but please note applications from the Redcar & Cleveland area will be prioritised as the work involved is focussed in this area and a deep knowledge of this area is required.
